Children who favor a linguistic intelligence tend to:
- Reason through words and oral and written language
- Be sensitive to meanings and the function of words and language
- Read, write, tell stories, play games with words, listening and communicate
Activities designed to teach English throughout linguistic intelligence:
- WRITING STORIES
- "Once upon a time" ( 3er ESO kids)
- WHY?
- To improve writing and and reading skills
- To work in groups
- To estimulate imagination and creativity
`ONCE UPON A TIME´
- HOW?
- Explanation of the activity
- Groups of six students ( 3 pairs/3 stories)
- Each pair begins a brainstorming
- One person of each pair begins writing and passes de story to the person who is next to him
2. CROSSWORDS
- Eg: Didactic Unit: celebrations-Halloween
- WHY?
- Funny way of learning. Children like these kind of games
- It helps the oral communication in English among children
- Children learn to cooperate and to work in groups
- It estimulates the most advanced students and the less advanced ones
- HOW?
- Students in groups of five
- Each group has to decide which word corresponds to each definition
- Each team has a mediator who must deliver the chosen word to the teacher
